CULTURAL WEEK OF RIBEIRINHA

During eight days this freguesia that goes by the name of Ribeirinha, becomes more beautiful, starts to reborn again and receives, in its lap, the people from all the Island, plus the ones that start to arrive, the tourism comes from the four corners of the world.

With this intention the Board of the Folkloric Group of Ribeirinha start to organize the " Cultural Week of Ribeirinha" its Anniversary with a program of ephemeral beauty that touch the hug of joy, of the music that spreads for the streets, in a stage that blow up in a set of applauses, this event carried through in the time that Ribeirinha is most visited, by the emigrants, and tourists, and also equally the people are drawn the street more thus have more time to participate in the cultural animation.

Ribeirinha is the people that dream, that love their land, the joyful smile of children their happy games, the parties and the rocket that blows in the air in days of pilgrimage, the singing of the birds among the trees, the cool water that sprouts of its spring. The Ribeirinha are all people that live here or that one day lived, although far yet their heart remain here.

The windows and balconies of these streets decorated with beautiful handmade regional bedspreads in our sewing press and of the remains of some colours made by the magical hands of this people. This Cultural Week of Ribeirinha is very participated by the public due to the great fan of animation that cheers this people.

The last festivities of Ribeirinha deserve to be a synthesis and an apotheosis of that the people in this freguesia were an still are capable to live culturally, on the festivities. With this concern a program was elaborated in its diversity, to be an invitation to look at the past and today. Our appeal to the Cultural Week the Creek is and that, during these festivities, one will touch all the areas of the Culture and at the same time be entertained. Therefore, our look has to be guided by the heart, in a form that spreads and infects the party transforming it into an enormous manifestation of joy.
To come to the Cultural Week of Ribeirinha is to enter in the house of friendship to share each proposal of this program with enthusiasm and generosity, making of the Ribeirinha a flavourful hall of conviviality, since hospitality is feeling that always prevail here. In fact, the Cultural Week of the Ribeirinha does not have to be seen. It must be lived.
